Good home cooked meals. Owners work at the restaurant so any issues are resolved quickly. Wonderful food and friendly atmosphere.

We've always had good service in a warm, friendly atmosphere.The hamburgers here are the best in Texas & I've travelled around enough that I feel fairly quaified to say that! You need a hearty appetite to eat one though - they're HUGE. The jalapeño bun adds just the right touch to make them extra special. I've only discovered Peggy's this last year, but since then everyone who visits gets taken to Peggy's for a burger & they all leave saying the same thing, "BEST burger I've ever had!"

Good food friendly service.

Hurricane Harvey took most of this place's size and menu. The catfish "whisker"poboy and the house made crab cakes were well worth the drive over. I am sure that the owners will build more out when they can. The small dining room was charming and cozy.

This place is a hidden gem of the Golden triangle. While most people talk about the seafood (and the fried catfish and shrimp are very good) I think the real star is the hamburger. This is a serious contender for the best burger in the area. Peggy is super friendly, and the service is fast. What else could you possibly want?

Excellent place. The food is excellent. I will eat here everytime I get back in the area. Excellent service. It is hidden place to find but if you are in the area you need to go here.

Great home town atmosphere with wonderful food and people. If you are down fishing in the area stop by they have fuel also.

Came here on a Sunday by boat....they only had half the menu items available, place smelled like dog and restroom. As we were eating 2 dogs came in and sat with us...there was no dock for boats to pull up too...place is ok in appearance but smelled and seperated into different rooms. Looks nothing like the pictures...posting this before i eat....so stay tuned for food report....food was still good but place needs santatized

Okay, not great... got the feeling that much of what I was having was frozen bulk items. no real individual zest of flavor. typical straight out of box frozen, fried & served blah in a odd environment. I certainly got the impression that everyone else seemed to enjoy(well aside from my table). group of four adults, on alcohol, $110+ change. don't think it was worth it.

I wasn't very Happy that Peggy's is now a hamburger joint. It's been a while since our last visit. So disappointed about that. Only a few tables now and unfortunately they are still renovating I suppose. It looked like it. I don't remember the menu being so selective either. Very limited to small baskets, burgers, a few small items. Food was okay.... good. Not excellent. These are the reasons for the 4 Star instead of 5. If looking for a Hamburger Joint... Peggy's.

Worst experience ever, Slow service, food under cooked and bland. Definitely not what it used to be. Food not worth the price.

I have to go with the majority here. Took a client here for lunch and was not disappointed. Had good service and great food, I had the grilled shrimp kabobs, man were they good. Can't wait to come back.

Lunch at Peggy's is always a treat. Good gumbo and seafood. Best shrimp po-boy in the area. The burgers are great too!

There's no sweeter crazier Cajun than Peggy herself! Fun spirited and makes a bomdiggity catfish player!! Anyone passing through needs to stop and at least accept the challenge of the bayou Burger if not for the jalapeno bread at least for the experience!! Words out they're going to completely reopen so when you can, 'come on down and pasa you self a good time, Sha!'

What makes the place great is also its downfall. Slow slow slow service, and not attentive at all. Tea glass gets empty, have to ask twice for silverware. Food for our lunch group comes out one at a time..... first guy is finished with lunch before the last guy gets his.The food is good. I really like it once i finally get it, i just wish they would hire some waitstaff

My salad was small and dehydrated. My friend's onion ring had a long piece of hair in it, and the server said she hoped the rest were alright before asking my friend if she wanted a new order.Our chocolate bowls had some balloon pieces on it. My diver's burger had moldy bread.😒 The server had bad mood swings. The health department needs to grade this restaurant.

Do not go. Food was not filling for the price it is at. You are better off driving over the border to Louisiana and picking up real Cajun food for a better price.

My fiancé and grandfather and I went to Peggy’s this weekend. It took over 45 min to cook 3 burgers and fries when we where the first ones in there to order. My grandfathers burger was all messed up, the burgers where burnt, the bread was burnt, no AC in back room. It was over all horrible. I never had a bad experience but that topped it.

I love this place so so so much!! Lunch is always a little busy but dinner....WOW!!! You know i woke up the other day CRAVING the CAJUN BABY NACHOS!! When I got them I was so satisfied I went back for more. They really treat you like family!!!

Went on a hunch....food was delicious and quick, and very well priced. Service was very friendly. Sat on the back porch and watched kids fishing. Will definitely return!

Peggies is very curteous and one feels comfortable there. The seafood is fresh. Crabs arrive alive daily...and the recipes and cooking are good. I enjoyed different foods there since I first ate there. Fish sandwich...fried oyster...fried shrimp and crab. Couldnt meet a nicer owner... These people are kind and caring. You will enjoy your time at Peggies.

We have been wanting to vist and today we finally did. The best seafood ever, and very sweet people. We will be going back.

A very enjoyable place and down to to earth people.

Love this place, come in every trip to the area, family owned and operated locals. Everything is usually fresh, cooked great and seasoned up perfect. Especially if miss Peggy and her husband are working.This is a quirky hole in the wall place, a lot of good people frequent here. If you want fancy go somewhere else.

Horrible. I called in a To-Go order. Came about 30 minutes later to pick up. Pre-teen girl employees sitting in booth did not help me when I walked in and weren’t helping their tables. Finally an older lady comes to assist me. She was very kind but my food wasn’t ready and they didn’t know why. I waited for another 30 minutes. Food was not good. Not worth the drive or the money. They need to hire better people.
